Some of my favorites, I hope you enjoy: How succinct!
I recently posted an article Link detailing a Senator's brave fight to remove cameras from intersections. Though there were many good reasons for the legislation the Senator proposes, the primary in my mind was simply the fact that cameras monitoring public places are an inappropriate use of the technology. No one posting has thus far touched on the aspect, seemed surprised of the camera presence, or even really expressed any outrage about it's abuse. It is because of this I more de...
Sen. Jason Crowell (R) of Cape Girardeau (jer-ar-do) is aiming at passing a bill that will bring down cameras mounted at intersections monitoring motorists. Sen. Crowell's bill will deny local governments the authority to install cameras as well as ban the installation of new ones. Crowell lists a variety of reasons as to why the bill is important: 1.) Overt government intrusion 2.) A funding arrangement that allows the companies servicing the cameras a share of the fines 3...
A friend of mine sent in one of his usual letters to the editor. This one resonated with me to such an extreme I felt the need to re-paste it, here, right where it's needed most. Editor, With the retirement of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the ongoing conflict between the Red state Republicans and the Blue state Democrats promises to heat up. We can expect to hear about family values as the Reds pander to their beloved constituents, the fundamentalist Christians. They will represent t...
With all the campaign rhetoric flying about last year, it was easy for true believers to give Bush&Co. the benefit of the doubt on WMD's in Iraq. Now that lie has finally been put to rest Link for the last time ( all those fake intelligence reports like the "yellow cake being bought from Niger" should have been a clue to the public ), a new Gallup poll has found "Half of all Americans, exactly 50%, now say the Bush administration deliberately misled Americans about whether Iraq had we...
I cannot believe this debate is still going on - so I'll finally add my two cents. Before I begin I would like to state that I am pro-life and firmly against the idea of euthanasia. Now let's look at the facts: Terry Schiavo is under the guardianship of Mr. Schiavo. Regardless of what one thinks of Mr. Schiavo, he had the most intimate relationship with Terry. If any one person knew or could deduce what Terry would have wanted, this is the person. Terry's parents say Terry would have ...
The BBC finally confirms the dissenting opinion about Iraqi Oil and the "neo-con" agenda. The link below will take you to the article and a link on that page will stream the actual Newsnight video. Very comprehensive and very interesting - you won't see this in the states on our mainstream media networks. Not even a peep. Leave it up to the folks on the other side of the pond to do our media's job for them. All those who thought the administration was there for altruistic purposes (se...
Allow me to usher you in. This blog will focus mostly upon political rants through the lens of one individual's views which is concentrated at both ends of the political spectrum. I do my best to provide sources for all claims made and invite constructive criticism and tough-minded touche`'s from all. Totally laying down and agreeing wholeheartedly with me works fine as well. This blog is added to on an infrequent basis since most of my time is spent dueling within the realms of other per...

Many have heard the Bush family makes quite a bit of money in the oil and defense industries. Just to keep everyone up to date on their making a killing off the sp(oil)s of war there is this story re-posted from the LA Times: Company's Work in Iraq Profited Bush's Uncle LA Times | February 24, 2005 WASHINGTON — The Iraq war helped bring record earnings to St. Louis-based defense contractor Engineered Support Systems Inc., and new financial data show that the firm's war-related prof...
I wanted to share this link with all of you. This leads to the directory listing of all the George Bush Shows created by a gifted flash developer. Republicans (especially ep. 7) and Democrats alike should get a kick out of these. The satire provided is excellent commentary and the production is top notch for such a small developing group. Post your comments here! http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/search.php?kind=j&terms=bush%20show
I've been running in to a bunch of locked threads lately. It began with Wisefawn's but the trend has seemingly infected other bloggers. I back Draginol's statement on JU syndication and the insinuation that locking threads is a bit unjust and stifles debate. The only purpose of locking a thread, it seems, is to get your opinion out and exclude outside comment. This destroys the full potential offered by JU and is a near abuse of the free service provided. Come on folks, lets keep the flow ...
Yes, it's true! If all votes are counted in Ohio, Kerry will win the presidency! Try this link: http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=4201
What do you get when you have a Republican President, a Republican controlled Senate and House, and a Supreme Court looking to add another one or two justices to the bench? Americans will see in the upcoming four years what fruits will be yielded from this year’s election. According to President Bush, with his “mandate” of 31% of the voting electorate, those fruits will come in the form of an overhaul of social security wherein money will be diverted from the federal pool to private acco...
If there is one thing proven in this election, it's that American voters want the country to remain as socially conservative as possible. The silver lining in this is that Roe V. Wade might get put on the endangered species list after some new Supreme Court Justices and conservative voices were heard concerning the traditional family unit. It's finally been proven that the culturally conservative vote can turn out and will. One thing that was very interesting about the Bush vote this yea...
